Handwoven and Felted Scarf, "Raspberry Sherbet," 5.5 x 52 inches

This soft, handwoven one-of-a-kind scarf is made using soft cotton and merino wool yarns.

Woven in vertical stripes of alternating cotton and wool, the dimensional scarf is felted in hot water causing the wool to shrink and felt and the cotton, which doesn't shrink, to pucker. This technique creates an interesting texture.

Each scarf is a unique exploration of color, texture and pattern.
