Darkest Before the Dawn
Dark times bequeath dark thoughts, and we are all under a reign of terror and negativity right now. The neo dark ages, to be followed by enlightenment and a rennaissance? These paintings employ a subdued palette, suggestive of the darkness we're facing. I work intuitively, building up layers of paint to create texture and grace, implying that there is beauty even in the dark.
