Mending the Heart

These pieces use weaving, patchwork and stitching as a metaphor for mending the disparate and broken pieces of ourselves and the world.

The heartbreak, the grief, the sadness, the despair. All of it needs tending to and is in desperate need of repair.

Bridging the gap between the old familiar and the uncertain new, these fiber art pieces speak to our changing times and the need to let go in order to move forward. Created from upcycled plaid flannel shirts, they are assembled from disparate pieces and held together using contemplative stitching to mend the broken past.
