There are many issues in the world that need to be addressed, and the one that resonates the most with me is the environment.
My art is created using eco-friendly materials to raise environmental awareness. The materials that I use include repurposed leftover house paint, rusty pieces of metal to create iron oxide stains, locally gathered leaves for contact leaf prints, and color extracted from natural dye plants.
I donate 10% of the sales of my original art to two nonprofit organizations that are doing valuable work:
The mission of Al Gore's organization, The Climate Reality Project, is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society.
With seas rising, global heat records falling, and storms becoming more and more devastating, the reality of climate change has never been clearer. But with clean energy solutions like wind and solar getting more affordable, batteries getting better, and buildings becoming more efficient every year, neither has the way forward.
The good news doesn’t end there. Because now, thanks to 195 countries signing the historic Paris Agreement to cut greenhouse gas emissions planet-wide, the world is united in working for a safe and sustainable future with net zero carbon emissions by the second half of this century.
At Climate Reality, we’re here to ensure it gets there. We’re working to accelerate the global shift from the dirty fossil fuels driving climate change to renewables so we can power our lives and economies without destroying our planet.
Stopping climate change is the challenge of our time. But we know how and thanks to the Paris Agreement, we have the tools to do it. The sustainable future we want is finally in our hands. And at Climate Reality, we won’t let it slip away.
Farm Sanctuary was founded in 1986 to combat the abuses of factory farming and encourage a new awareness and understanding about farm animals. Today, Farm Sanctuary is the nation’s largest and most effective farm animal rescue and protection organization. We have rescued thousands of animals and cared for them at our sanctuaries in Watkins Glen, NY; Northern California; and the Los Angeles area. At Farm Sanctuary, these animals are our friends, not our food. We educate millions of people about their plight and the effects of factory farming on our health and environment. We advocate for laws and policies to prevent suffering and promote compassion, and we reach out to legislators and businesses to bring about institutional reforms.
Farm Sanctuary remains committed to ending cruelty to farm animals and promoting compassionate vegan living through rescue, education, and advocacy efforts.
Thank you for contributing to this important cause through your purchase of original art.
